Alexis Pinturault on the Podium at Ski World Cup
The French skiing star, Alexis Pinturault, finished third in the Ski World Cup rankings. He won 1 006 points which placed him just behind Kjetil Jansrud at 1 288 points and the World No 1 Marcel Hirscher with 1 448 points.
The last leg of the Championship was held at Méribel and was to be decisive. On the Roc de Fer piste, Alexis was trailing by only two hundredths behind the third place skier. Then, after a first heat in heavy fog he was lagging in 9th position. It was then that the skier from the Savoie region pulled it all out of the bag.
Alexis proved once again that he is an exceptional skier. He has already demonstrated his enormous all-round talent during the giant slalom at Kranjska Gora and in the combined at Kitsbuhel and seems to adapt to every circumstance. With an overall third place ranking in 2014 and 2015, a bronze medal at the World ski championship and a second place ranking in the giant slalom, he has demonstrated his continual consistency. At only 23 years old he has proved himself worthy of a top three position in the World rankings.
Richard Mille is delighted for their young ambassador and his success this year. The production team at Richard Mille are currently working with him to develop a movement which will be resistant to this harsh mountain environment and the extreme conditions of Alpine skiing.
