RICHARD MILLE OPENS FIRST GERMAN BOUTIQUE ON MAXIMILIANSTRASSE IN MUNICH

Richard Mille is delighted to announce the opening of its rst dedicated boutique in Germany. The boutique is located at the eastern end of Maximilianstrasse, one of Munich’s four royal avenues.

On the heels of successfully opening a number of new boutiques in Europe and the Middle East, this is an exciting time for the brand to open its latest boutique in Germany’s most exclusive city.

Peter Harrison, CEO of Richard Mille Europe, Middle East and Africa comments: “Germany is a new market for Richard Mille, and we are delighted to be opening our rst boutique in Munich. I know that everyone in the company is excited to have the opportunity to establish our brand in this historic city, sharing our passion for the mastery of extreme watchmaking, artistry and the famous Richard Mille ‘joie de vivre’.”

The elegant edi ce inspired Mélanie Treton-Monceyron, Artistic Director for the Maison Richard Mille, the challenge was to organise the façade’s frontage in view of the historical building constraints. In this architectural environment, dominated by traditional stonework, the innovative power and technicality of Richard Mille are especially thrown into relief. The new jewel of a store, covering 160 square metres on two levels, thus emphasises the masculine aesthetic characteristic of the Richard Mille brand.

The building’s neo-gothic style invited a rm approach to designing the boutique inside, and meticulous attention to the choice of materials. The wall coverings, done in black “elephant hide” leather and Macassar ebony, like the brushed steel edging, distinctly recall the design tropes of Richard Mille’s original boutiques. A veritable return to the brand’s origins, were it not for the natural light playing throughout the space, reinforcing its modernism and gentle curves. The latter, articulated in both the ceilings and walls, breathe life into both levels throughout the day. They show off in an unexpected way new facets of each watch from the collections (sports, ladies’, lifestyle, tourbillon, and limited editions).

Crackled and mirrored glass also contribute to the boutiques powerfully modern feel, connecting the ground oor with the upper level, which houses a workshop where the watchmaker reigns supreme, entirely dedicated to ensuring the complete satisfaction of passionate Richard Mille wearers and collectors.

The Richard Mille Boutique Munich is located at Maximilianstrasse, 34 and is open Monday through Saturday from 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. Phone +49 89 45221300
